We’re a Home Improvement Agency — these prices are estimates only and may vary by supplier.

Our customers typically pay around 30% less than going direct, thanks to our quote-matching and negotiation system, and our checks on product and installer standards.

Quick note: Lower-end guide prices reflect standard-spec, compliant installations supplied and fitted by reputable garage-door installers. Doors are UKCA-marked to BS EN 13241 and, where powered, include appropriate safety devices (e.g., safety edge/photocells) in line with EN 12453. Higher-end prices typically include upgrades such as insulated double-skinned panels (roller/sectional), premium motors & controls (e.g., multi-channel remotes, smart hubs, battery back-up), colour-matched finishes, vision panels/windows, enhanced security options (e.g., Secured by Design – Police Preferred Specification where available) and extended warranties.

Garage Door Cost Calculator – FAQs

How realistic are the garage door price ranges?

They’re guide ranges based on recent garage door projects including VAT and a typical installation. We anchor the estimate to your chosen door style, material, size and region, then scale it between the smallest and largest common sizes. The final price from your installer will still depend on brand, colour/finish, access for fitting, electrics and any extras agreed at survey.

How do you help me get better-value garage door quotes?

When you request quotes we compare each price against our live market ranges for similar garage doors and recent deals in your type of property. We also check each installer’s certifications, guarantees and written specification so you’re choosing between like-for-like options. If a quote looks high for the spec, we’ll flag that and, if you’d like us to, we can go back to suppliers to push the price closer to the realistic bottom end on your behalf.

Are the doors insulated?

Sectional and most Roller doors use double-skinned, insulated panels/laths and help reduce draughts and noise. Canopy, Retractable and Side-Hinged doors are usually uninsulated unless specified as an insulated variant — these sit toward the higher end of our ranges.

Manual vs electric — what’s the price difference?
  • Aluminium Roller prices here include electric operation by default (motor + two remotes).
  • Canopy/Retractable/Sectional are shown manual as standard; a quality motor kit, controls and safety gear typically add ~£350–£650 depending on brand/features.
What about warranties?

Typical manufacturer cover is 2–10 years on door panels/finish and 2–5 years on motors/electronics (brand-dependent). Your installer will confirm exact terms.
