We’re a Home Improvement Agency — these prices are estimates only and may vary by supplier.
Our customers typically pay around 30% less than going direct, thanks to our quote-matching and negotiation system, and our checks on product and installer standards.
Quick note: Lower-end guide prices typically reflect compliant installs by companies registered with a Competent Person Scheme (e.g. FENSA, Certass, Assure) for Building Regulations self-certification. Higher-end prices often include upgraded specs such as PAS 24 / Secured by Design security, BFRC energy-rated products, and sometimes BBA-certified systems.
Bestpricevalue.com is a member of Secured by Design, the flagship UK police initiative to help ‘design out’ crime through the use of high-quality, innovative products and processes.
Double Glazing Cost Calculator – FAQs
How accurate are the prices?
They’re market guide ranges incl. VAT. We apply product type, size scaling, material, glazing, opener/panel counts, installation uplift and a regional factor from your postcode. Final installer quotes should fall within or close to the range.
How can you negotiate an extra 30% for me?
We benchmark the quotes you receive against our live market ranges and recent deals. Then we verify each installer’s certifications, guarantees and specification so we’re comparing like-for-like. Where prices are high for the spec, we flag the savings and—if you want us to—we go back to suppliers to negotiate towards the realistic bottom price on your behalf.
Double vs triple glazing – what’s the price difference?
Triple glazing typically adds ~10–20% over an equivalent double-glazed unit. The calculator applies this automatically when you choose “Triple”.
Can I order dual-colour or coloured frames? Will that cost more?
We’ve kept the calculator simple, so colour options aren’t shown. In practice, coloured finishes do add a small uplift: as a guide, allow about +3–5% on the illustrated price range.
Dual-colour (different inside/outside) or colouring both sides (e.g. woodgrain foil or a plain RAL colour on both faces) tends to sit toward the upper end of that band. Exact uplifts vary by material and supplier, and your quotes will reflect the chosen finish.
Which certifications should installers have?
Look for FENSA or Certass for compliance. Memberships like GGF and options such as Secured by Design or BFRC ratings indicate higher performance.
